Being born again means that you have rejected this world and asked Christ to be the Lord of your life. You have "died to self." The Holy Spirit then places within you a new heart that is attentive toward God. You have been reborn into the family of God. |

Christianity is different than other religions. It does not claim that salvation can come through good deeds. It does not take the position that humanity is inherently good. Christianity does stress that salvation can only come through Jesus Christ and a complete surrender to Him. A relationship with God through Jesus is the essence of Christian doctrine. |
